My credit card is being declined or rejected. Why is this happening and how can I fix this?

First, thank you so much for making your purchase with ProSmoke.  When making your purchase, the information is securely passed to the credit card company and they approve or decline the purchase based on the information you provided during the checkout process.  If the information, such as address or security CVV code do not match, the card will be declined.  You will then have the opportunity to update the billing information while in the shopping cart or checkout page.

Please note that unless the information matches exactly to what is on your credit card, the purchase will not be approved by your credit card company.

It is also important to note that even though your purchase attempt was declined, some credit card companies will still show the purchase attempt as a pending charge on your credit card.  This charge attempt it removed automatically bu your credit card company g declined. This could be due to address verification or credit card CVV mismatch or more.  If you tried to make a payment for an order and received a message Payment Failed, but you still see a pending charge on your account from us, it means that your banking system has put a temporary hold on the funds due to the purchase attempt they declined. The declined purchase is a pending transaction that will never go through and is removed shortly by your credit card company. The transactions may show up as pending transactions on your card or bank statement until your financial institution release the holds on the amounts.  This is done by your credit card company and not ProSmoke and is NOT a charge.
