E-cigarette supporters got a much-needed victory Thursday following a bill suggesting an 86.5 percent tax on electronic cigarettes went up in smoke.

Bill HB333 was launched by GOP Rep. Paul Ray, certainly one of Utah’s most ferocious adversaries of vaporizers. Throughout the reading, Ray promised Electronic cigarette are how large tobacco will grab another era of kids. Maybe not mincing words, Ray has previously called e-cigarette manufacturers and vendors "the scum bag industry".

Prior to Thursdays determination to move over Rays article, his taxes increase was broadly criticized by policy scholars who claimed it could hurt public health by making it tougher for smokers to change to vaping.
